The Beach and All Its Glory

Today was a great day for the beach! It was funny because I woke up a little down. I've been more emotional the last couple of days, not because of the crap, but really because I was off my mood stabilizers for about 48 hours. They finally arrived in the mail yesterday so I am back on them, but it will still take me about another day or two for it to finally bring me back to normal 100%. A nice look at me off my most important meds. Not good! So things got better.

I almost didn't go to the beach, but Jason talked me into it.  still wasn't sure up until the time we left. We stopped to get a little fuel. We had made sandwiches for us and brought water. We also grabbed grapes and bananas, but the bananas hadn't been eaten. We made a little dent in the grapes. But after getting fuel we stopped at the Walmart market. Jason got us each a drink. He got a Fanta orange and he got me an Arizona green tea. He also bought a bag of Taco flavored chips. They were good, but didn't last long. I'll tell you why in a minute! LOL!

Anyway, we left, got on the freeway and went to the beach. East County was so hot. I think it got up to 104 degrees F. But as we got closer and closer to the beach the temperature got cooler. It was awesome! When we actually got to the beach it was perfect!! It was warm, but there was a nice breeze. We settled down and ate a sandwich and some grapes and chips, plus drink our drinks. After that, we finally get up to go into the water. But we learned a very important lesson. Never trust a Seagull! LOL! We were just about at the water's edge and there was a commotion back up on the sand. Well . . . We didn't cover our chips with a blanket or towel or something. Needless to say it was a scrambling of seagulls! They swarmed all over our blanket and stole the chips bag!! They took every last one! LOL! Little twits!! But I stayed out in the water for awhile, but Jason stayed back on the blanket to keep an eye oout for those rascals again. But we covered everything from there on out.

After a bit, he went out into the water. I could see him, which was cool. Then I sunned myself and so did Jason. We decided we'd wait for Susan to join us before we went back out into the water. It was so nice out there. Oh and one of the seagulls had been with us practically the whole time. We had a boogie board that was tore up pretty good and just laying there in the sand. This seagull claimed it as HIS and would actually chase other birds away! He was funny! Of course, he was one of the chip raiders too! :-P

When Susan did get there, she brought a chair and sat down. She was not interested in the water at all. :-( That was kind of sad. But she was tired. However she has been very tired lately . . . well, for awhile. She has reasons though. So Jason and I went out to the ocean again and I got out pretty far for me. My chest was wet, but I wasn't out jumping the big waves. They were big enough though and the water was a bit cool, but it was awesome. I haven't had so much fun at the beach in years! And I have been to the beach more this summer than I have in the last decade! LOL!

Eventually, the fun had to end and we had to go home. Jason had to give me directions back onto the freeway before he left with Susan. They had to take care of a couple of things. As for me, almost as soon as I got home Cassi called me to pick her up from the trolley with her friend Savannah, and they were supposed to come back to the apartment, but there was a change of plans and I took her and her friend to another friend's place near us! LOL! Sometimes that girl has me going around in circles! LOL! But I love her. By the time I got home Jason was making dinner. I was grateful for that. I was really wiped out and didn't feel up to cooking. Not that I wouldn't have. It was just a nice treat for today. We had BBQ crispy chicken strips with Mac n' Cheese. It was good, but I couldn't eat it all. Which is a good thing. :-D

Anyway, I am about ready to crash for the night. It was a blast of a day!

Shopping and Writing And Billy the Exterminator!

Well, my mom was going to wake me up at 10:00am but instead she let me sleep until 1:00pm. She said I was snoring and she didn't want to wake me. I was tired because I didn't fall asleep until about 5:00am. But either way, I got enough sleep and though it took me a few to actually get up and get going, I did. I got up, took my meds, picked some clothes from the closet and then made my coffee. My mom wanted me to take her a couple of places so I was ready. I just made sure I had my books and schedule. I need to keep it up to date and I haven't done that really. And it's good to keep a schedule book! I have appointments that I need to add to my book anyway.

Anyway, first I took my mom to the bank. Then we came back to get the handicap placard in case we needed it. But it turned out we didn't. We went to CVS Pharmacy for medications and got a decent spot and then we went to Walmart and found a good spot. I helped my mom grab some stuff that she wanted, including hair coloring for me, which was cool. They didn't have my usual color though and not sure how this one will look. I just hope it looks good too. I think it will. I also was supposed to get some bologna and there wasn't ANY!! I mean, the whole shelf was just EMPTY! I was kind of ticked. I think if I do food shopping next month I'll go to Santee. Hopefully they'll be stocked with everything I'll need.

But anyway, my mom gave me some money to go to McDonald's. I saw the 2 Big Macs for $4. But I didn't just want to order two unless my mom said yes. The coffee I had kind of stunted my appetite anyway so I wasn't starving. I settled for my Diet Dr. Pepper. Then I took a seat and read some of "The Sheik and the Christmas Bride." It's a good book! Though I think after I read it I'm going to go back to "Passion." I just hate that the next book won't come out until next year. It makes it hard to want to read it all at once. But I will.

I do get to start thinking about school supplies and I'm really dreading when Cassie has to come home - more because of Jason than Cassie. Either way, school is starting in a week. It's hard to believe summer's over or just about over. Cassie will be in 8th grade. Her last year in middle school. I just hope it goes relatively smoothly. I know Cassie won't be happy, but maybe we can all get back to a happy medium though I'm not going to hold my breath.

Karissa has been a bit of a pain tonight. LOL! She keeps jumping on the dresser and knocking stuff off because she smells her treats there. Even when she doesn't smell them there, she thinks they're there! LOL! What a twit-cat. :-D I love my baby.

I also worked more on my "Jason Bourne" story.I wrote about three pages today, give or take and it was all about making love. I just need to figure out the next part of the story. I know part of where it's going, but I just haven't figured out the next part. Maybe have Jason try to talk her out of going after Paul and let someone else handle it. It could spark an argument. Could cause her to go after Paul. Well, we'll see.

Anyway, I guess that's it. I watched "Billy the Exterminator" which was awesome. They had this woman from "Good Morning America" came to catch gators with them. They caught three! Releasing them was fun! :-P Then they went to a waterpark and caught a racoon and caught/saved a possum that had run into the lazy river and couldn't get out. Billy just jumped in and scooped him up with a trap. It was awesome!!

Okay, I am going to take my meds, plot more of my story and go to sleep. Time for Jordan to take the computer. :-D

My Next Story Isn't So Easy . . .

I wanted to get farther on my Michael story today and I got 2-3 pages into it, but it's not moving fast enough for me. It's actually really, really hard. I think if I wasn't trying to put myself into a SciFi theme it would be easier. But I like the fact that I'm taking my character out of here and now and placed into her TV show. But it's SOOOOO hard to write! Ugh! This is going to take me more time than I want, but hopefully the product will be good. Though I don't think it could be better than my 007 story. I should also come up with a list of characters I want to write stories about. Writing first person really is different and I catch myself going into third person all the time. Of course, after Michael I have NO idea who to write about. Maybe Col. Cameron Mitchell from SG-1 or even Teal'c. I would go with Jacob, but he has Renesme. Seth was very young, but if he was older . . . possibility. I might have to expand who I am though in these stories. But we'll see. One story at a time . . .

Oh man, I had the weirdest dream too! It had penguins in it. And my dad. Blankets, Cassie . . . It's crazy! I don't remember a lot of details, but the last thing I remember was being hugged by my dad and him reassuring me about money because I didn't have any. God I loved the hug . . .

I really haven't done much else today. I added stuff to "I'm not Fat! I'm Fluffy!" on Cafemom. I want to post more, but I just don't have anyone's help. Ugh!!

My mom made dinner, but he only made me tortillas, but I shared with Jordan. She was kind of irritated with him because he didn't know what he wanted. Whatever. But dinner was okay. I'm hungry again, but I don't know if I'm going to eat anything else. I still taste toothpaste - yes, I brushed my teeth and I'm considering eating. I am a strange person. What's really crazy is I drank some diet rootbeer after brushing my teeth and it didn't taste weird!! What does that mean for Diet Rootbeer?? LOL!

Cassie had an interesting time today. Her and Susan went to the super walmart over near them and they stopped at the McDonald's to eat and some guy sat at the next table across from Cassie and had his junk hanging out! When Susan got up to tell something, he left quickly. Personally I would have laughed at him. Then filed a Police Report, but they didn't. Ugh! They should have because now he can do it to someone else who it might actually effected. Cassie I doubt was effected at all. I remember when I was ten years old and at Summer Camp. We were hiking and hiked too far onto a nude beach. Well, this guy comes jogging by in all his glory and all I could do was giggle. I'd seen a penis before so big woop! I think several of the girls started giggling. The counselor was mortified, I think. LOL!

Anyway, other than that I watched most of "Restaurant: Impossible," "Ghost Hunters International" which apparently was the mid-season finale. And then I watched the finale of "Legend Quest." I hope that one gets renewed. It was pretty cool. The last thing they had was crappy. I forgot what it was called, but it sucked. In fact, they didn't even run all the episodes I don't think though I could be wrong.

Well, I'm kinda tired so I might try to go to sleep early. Though that hasn't worked too well lately. I just know I can't read because it will keep me awake. I guess I'll chill out to the TV for a little longer then put on my night-night movie and see if I can't sleep.

Happy 4th of July Everyone!!!

The day started like shit. My mother was a total bitch to me. She berated me, put me down. She did all she could to tear me down! Reduced me to tears and she fucking abused me over that too. And her excuse as always - then do what I want and I won't abuse you. Then she had the nerve to say to me that Diana was walking in the heat to the store because she felt I didn't like her and didn't want to ask me for the ride. Well fine with me!! The less time I spend with that bitch the better. But OMG! She thinks I don't like her?? I wonder why?? It couldn't have anything to do with the fact she treats my friends like shit and talks shit to my face about my kids. Whatever. She needs to go back to Florida and stay there. And she told me she wasn't going to be nice anymore. So if she's not going to be nice anymore, I don't have to be either. Not that I would tell her no if she wanted a ride. I'm a bigger person than that bitch. Probably scared my mom to death when I drove her to the post office and pharmacy. But whatever. With the way she treated me, she deserved it. I was so upset, I almost wanted to stay home and cut on my arms and wrists. But you know, I wanted to spend the 4th with people who actually love and care about me and who would never abuse me like that.

So anyway, I got on the computer for a little bit before we left. I made sure I got my swim suit on and that I have my 4th of July shirt on. Well, more like patriotic shirt, but it works. Then I picked Jason up from work. From there we went up to the pool over near Susan's mom's. I actually parallel parked. It went okay. I'm not great at it though. Swimming was awesome and so much fun. I have all kinds of pix though they aren't as good as last year. It's still good. And I loved swimming with the kids. We found a pool toredo or something and it goes through the water like a bullet. We all played with it and with a pink noodle. I just had so much fun in general and I really needed that.

After that, we changed and went and got our parking spots for the Fireworks! From there, I got a shopping cart and used that to walk to  Hometown. That was good. I hadn't been there in forever. It's changed, but it was still pretty good. The New Orlean's Burbon chicken was awesome! I went back for more. The sad thing is I just didn't have enough room to try everything I wanted. LOL! Ah well. I was so full after that. LOL! But we went back to the cars and hunkered down for the two hour wait. I was distracted for awhile but ultimately I started reading. Then  my light went out! Ugh! But that's okay. The Fireworks were fantastic!! The booms kept setting off  car alarms which I thought was hysterical. Some people were annoyed by it. But it was funny! Well, to me anyway. I also got better pix this year. Unfortunately, I have trees in my way, but I think I got some nice shots. Maybe I can crop them or something. Either way, they're good.

Jordan and I finally got home. Grandma is sleeping on the couch, because I was going to have Jordan tell her we were home. Diana is nowhere to be seen - which means she's probably upstairs - where she needs to stay.  So for the most part the day was good. Just the first hour or so sucked. I'm not looking forward to tomorrow though. There will probably be more shit instore either from Diana or my mom or both. They are making me miserable and it makes them happy, I think. At least it gives Diana the jollies and she gets jollies getting my mother to go against me too. Ugh! Bitch!

Anyway, focus on the good today. Focus on the good! It was really great to spend another 4th of July with Jason and Susan. It's awesome. I hope we do this every year! I have an early morning too. Ick. Ah well. Got to get this done. Gotta take Cassie to her AB2726 intake appointment. I just hope I can get down there and back.

What a party!

I can't post any pix of it yet, but Cassie just have her 12th Birthday party last night at the hotel. She had about six girls. They went swimming a lot! They were all fish! Then we all went to happy hour. The kids got shirly temples and sodas and more. Also chips and salsa. We didn't even get to cake unil 8:30-9:00! LOL! She had a Ratattoulie cake. It was so cute and had a little cake on top of the big cake! Cassie LOVED it! And she has two Ratattoulie toys now. The cake was chocolate with Chocolate butter cream in the middle, but like an idiot I forgot candles. So for the first time ever she didn't get to blow out candles, but she didn't seem to mind as long as we sang happy birthday to her. LOL!

We had all kinds of candy and snacks. We even brought a snow cone maker, but they didn't have those until today. The machine was just too loud. That was okay, after pizza, cake, candy, swimming and elevator tag they were exhausted!

Cassie got some neat gifts. She got a HUGE set of Littlest Pets - which she loves. She got a new purse. She got a New Moon poster and more. I think she was very happy with her gifts and this is a party she's going to remember for a long time. Good friends, good fun . . .

What's funny is last night they were talking about watching movies, but they were so tired. We put on one movie (we brought a DVD player and DVDs) and all but one girl crashed out to The Corpse Bride.

Today we had a great breakfast. The kids seemed to want to go back and eat more. They would go play and eat more. Katie said she had three cheese omelets! LOL! After that, they were in and out of the pool again AND playing more Elevator Tag. In fact, right now they are back in the pool. Soon enough we'll se leaving. In some respects it's a very good thing. I'm exhausted! LOL! But it was a great party!

Shadow Your Kid Day!

Last Friday was Shadow Your Kid Day at Cassie's school. Basically it's a reverse of Take Your Kid to Work Day. Instead they get to take YOU to their work - school. What made it more interesting for me is the fact that this middle school was the same school I went to! Only it was a Junior High at the time. I have some good memories there. I had some good teachers.

Anyway, Cassie's first class is English. Her second class is Social Studies. Then it's Math, advisory (which she didn't have that day - minimum day) and either PE or Engineering and in my case she had PE. I stayed in the lunch harbor for that one. The stairs would have been a challenge for my knees otherwise. All the teachers were nice to the parents, of course. But the most fun class was her Social Studies! That teacher was fantastic and the project he had us all work on together was so much fun!

He gave us envelopes with paper puzzle pieces of skulls. We had to put them together and put them in the right order from Austroapithicus to Homo Sapien. Then we had to paste them onto a long brown paper and the kids had to write stuff down about each skull. It was a lot of fun and very engaging! I'd go back to that class any time!

At first I wasn't so sure I wanted to go to Shadow Your Kid day. But I sure am glad I went! It was a great experience for both Cassie and I!

What a BLAST!!

I just had the best party!! My daughter with Jason and Susan's help planned me a "surprise" party and even though I knew there was going to be a party, I was soooooo surprised!

Greg came and picked me up from the house. Personally, I had a lot of anxiety going on. Not sure why, but I didn't know who might be there and if I'd some how blow being surprised. I was nervous about keeping up conversation . . . every normal kind of thing, I think. Then when I got there, the first thing I saw was this caution tape on the door warning of someone's 40th birthday - basically over the hill! LOL! Then I walked inside and there was purple and blue streamers, white, pink and red balloons and a special Over the Hill party hat just for me! LOL! What surprised me more was that Sharon and Colette were there AND Linda Sen. was there with her baby Amaya! Oh, she's so cute! She's 15 months old. At first I didn't even recognize Linda and then was a little worried about conversation, but then we started talking about kids and that's all she wrote. We went from kinds, to 6th Grade promotion and our kids going to school . . . life in general! It was fantastic! And Jason cooked his fabulous BBQ chicken and even cooked Hot Dogs. We also had baked beans. For appetizers Susan had gotten some of the crab salad I love and we had chips and crackers. There was soda, water and I even got gift cards!! THAT was a big surprise too! I was expecting just birthday cards and got gift cards too - $10 to Barnes and Noble and $20 to Target!! I know what they will go for and it will help me out a lot! That's $30 more I'll have in my pocket next month for back to school and whatever else I'll need!

Anyway, I just had such a good time. I mean, I knew it would be a nice party, but this was honestly just so much fun and the time will be remembered for a long time to come!
