Catch Up Kinda

Okay, what can I say? Sunday I found out for sure that my daughter was pregnant. When she threw up three days in a row, I was like, Okay, time for a pregnancy test. When she took it she came to me crying because it was positive. I calmed she down, since I knew it was going to come out positive - just that mother thing, I guess - and there was no point in getting upset. I told her it was okay and what did she want to do. Us both being Christians and even before that, it's really just not an option. I asked if she wanted to have the baby and give it up for adoption. She said no because she didn't want to do what my birthmom did to me. Now, my birthmom didn't do anything wrong. She thought she was giving me to a really good family. She couldn't know the emotional abuse I would be put under. Anyway, I guess that's what turned Cassi off to that. So she wants to keep the baby and I'm okay with that. Now I am in grandma mode and for those of you interested in following me on that, just go to my profile and it should show you a list of my blogs. Just pick the one that says Grandma! LOL!

Other than that, it's been a long week with everything that I needed to get done. Then my mother has been on my case about the house. I told her she needs to give me a couple weeks, but she's kind of being a bitch about wanting it done NOW!  But it isn't getting done right now. Today is the first day I haven't had anything to do and I need to sit down and write some letters that I have been putting off. Since getting a renew of spirit and returning to the Lord everything has been good. I am going to the Women's Ministry Bible Study and tomorrow Nicole, Cassi and I are going to a special presentation called Life Lessons Shared. If you want to check it out and you live in San Diego - check out Mission Valley Christian Fellowship - the event is tomorrow. There is a continental breakfast and then the Testimony at 10:00am. We are so looking forward to it!

But also I have adopted a soldier - he's in Afghanistan. I write letters and send care packages. I'm behind writing letters to him. Then I am also part of a prison outreach program.where I write letters to prisoners and bring a little light into their lives and I'm behind writing letters to them too! Ugh! That's something I need to try to fix today. Things have been kind of crazy and tiring. But good.

Anyway, I guess that's it for now. Not sure how often I'll be updating on here now, but we'll see. I am now an excited grandma and that's where my heart is at the moment. :-D
